Dr. Julie Do is a board-certified physician who received her medical doctorate from the University of Washington and completed her medical training at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle.

She loves and enjoys the procedural aspect of medicine, which is what led her to provide aesthetic neuromodulator treatments to her clients. Her high level training and expertise helps patients feel at ease and fully informed regarding their treatment choices.

Dr. Julie still actively practices medicine in the clinic and hospital settings, and performs a high volume and wide array of office-based procedures. This keeps her knowledge and skills continually up-to-date.

Neuromodulators 101

Neuromodulators are a prescription medication of a protein used to treat deep wrinkles and fine lines. This medication can be injected into the skin to temporarily treat a variety of medical and cosmetic concerns. Neuromodulators work by relaxing the muscles that cause lines, wrinkles, and pain.

A few examples of medical concerns include: headaches, migraines, shoulder pain, and jaw clenching/teeth grinding.

Some areas of the face that are very popular to treat are: the forehead, around the eye’s (crow’s feet), the brows (the 11’s), the lips (lip flip), and to slim the cheeks.

FAQ’s
The injections themselves take about 10 minutes, and the majority of the time is spent customizing your treatment plan, making sure all questions are answered, and for set-up/clean-up.

How long do the effects last?:
It varies from person to person depending on skin health and metabolism, generally 2-3 months.

Does it hurt?:
The injections are used with incredibly fine needles, and there is a slight discomfort that lasts seconds. The majority of clients do great! Temporary numbing cream is an option for any of our clients who are really concerned about discomfort/pain.

How do I prepare?:
Coming in with freshly washed/clean skin is preferred; we’re happy to cleanse and prep your treatment areas for you if you accidentally forget.

What about afterward?:
No touching your face, makeup, heavy sweating, exposure to heat/direct sunlight, drinking alcohol,  or using over-the-counter NSAIDs (ibuprofen, advil, aspirin) for at least 4 hours after your injections. We will go over all of this with you in detail at your appointment.
